If you haven't gotten it by now...this is NOT the Bing Crobsy version. This is a play on words for my last name...my own version of what A White Christmas is really like. For years, my parents have lived in Lubbock, Texas and since we've had children we've had to make the drive accross Texas to Lubbock. It's in the same state but it takes a good 9 hours to travel!
I have made the drive pregnant, with a new born, by myself!!!! This song will forever remember those days we have made this trip. There are some things about Christmas that may not be super fun but when you are reminded about family or tradition...they become fun in a wierd sort of way. Enjoy the song.
It’ll be a White Christmas
And there may not be snow
But the kids are in the car and we’re set to hit the road
It’ll be a White Christmas
To Lubbock, Texas it’s so far
Someone needs a diaper change and we have to stop the car
With crying so loud and whining so strong
Oh why can’t the kids all just get a long
Oh I love, oh I love my White Christmas
It’ll be a White Christmas
With tears and crazy smiles
That make you insane when you’re on the road for miles
It’ll be a White Christmas
At grandma’s house for me
With every knowing their sick when we leave
With all of the germs our kids bring along
But still Grandma thinks they can do no wrong
Oh I love, Oh I love my White Christmas
Roadside bathroom breaks with three kids
Always makes me nervous when there’s no toilet lids
Small hands touch the floor where strangers have been
And I’m saying out loud I’ll never make this trip again.
A White Christmas
To Lubbock it’s so far
Someone needs a diaper change and we have to stop the car
A White Christmas
With tears and crazy smiles
That make you insane when you’re on the road for miles.
Oh I love, Oh I love my White Christmas
Oh I love, oh I love, oh I love ohhhh I love
Oh I love, Oh I love my White Christmas.
