The Poe Carnival is an annual tradition for families of Poe students, Poe alums and members of our community.  There will be lots of food, lots of music and happy kids everywhere.

Booths:  Each classroom is assigned a booth.  A Booth Chair, one from each classroom, helps schedule families from the class to work the booth throughout the carnival.

Tickets/Wristbands:  Prior to the Carnival, tickets and All-You-Can-Play ("AYCP") Wristbands will be sold and you can breeze through an Express Line on the day of the carnival to pick up your tickets. You will also be able to purchase tickets and wristbands throughout the Carnival.  The AYCP wristbands are good for unlimited play on all the inflatables, including the Rock Wall (new for 2009!), and the Haunted House.  Tickets, which can also be used for inflatables and the Haunted House, are used for all other booths:  food, drinks, desserts, jail, silly string, confetti eggs, tattoos, plus many, many others.  The AYCP wristbands are $20 and tickets are sold in $10 cards increments.

What not to miss: The famous Poe Spaghetti (get it early as this always runs out!), the Haunted House, silly string and confetti eggs, and the Jail shouldn't be missed!

Santa will kick off the ninth annual Festival of Lights once again by parachuting in to flip the switch to a mile-long trail of over one million lights. Leah White & The Magic Mirrors will be the House Band!  The opening ceremony Nov. 13 will feature local choirs and other holiday performers. Visitors can take photos with Santa or see him feed the more than 100 penguins in the South Atlantic exhibit. As one of the largest holiday celebrations in the region, the Festival of Lights receives over 85,000 visitors, many of whom have made the festival their own holiday tradition.
